About
Dylan Mixer is a film & TV composer whose recent credits include the crime drama "For Nothing" starring Michael Madsen ("Kill Bill: Volumes 1 & 2") and James Duvall ("Donnie Darko"), which screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2023, the horror film "The Wild Man" starring Michael Paré ("The Virgin Suicides") which released on Amazon Prime Video and Tubi, and national TV ads for major brands including Papa Johns and T-Mobile.
Dylan is currently at work scoring "Ungodly", an upcoming fantasy real-time strategy video game from Robin Hoole Productions. For this project, Dylan is developing a rich tapestry of sounds from cultures all around the globe, including African & Indonesian percussion, Amazonian woodwinds, and middle eastern vocals.
In 2018, Dylan scored a series of trailers for the YouTube viral sensation “Nightmare: Return to Elm Street”, a re-imagining of the beloved A Nightmare of Elm Street series. For these scores, Dylan created a fresh and terrifying atmosphere while paying homage to Charles Bernstein’s original score.
In 2024, Dylan will begin work on the highly anticipated documentary “Going Postal: A Legacy Foretold”, a chronicling of the making of the popular (and controversial) Postal video game series.
Born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Dylan fell in love with film at an early age, producing his own short films as a 10-year-old and scoring them himself. In this process he discovered his life's passion for creating music for picture. He went on to study Music Composition at Saint Petersburg College. He is now living in Atlanta, Georgia.
